Elevate Residential, BHC’s ‘profit for purpose’ real estate agency, has reached a major milestone, delivering a total of over $1 million in direct financial support to BHC to help tackle Queensland’s housing crisis – with a contribution of almost $400k in the 24-25 financial year.
This significant contribution has directly supported BHC’s mission to provide safe, affordable housing and build resilient communities across south-east Queensland. The funds have enabled BHC to assist more than 400 residents annually through its Impact Fund, which provides grants, initiatives and programs that support employment and training opportunities, physical and mental health assistance and social inclusion, as well as supporting the organisation to deliver social and affordable housing.
Elevate Residential passes on 100% of its profits from property sales commissions and management fees to BHC.
Elevate Residential Principal Licensee Chris Meadmore said the agency is proud to be part of a movement that delivers tangible outcomes for people in need.
“Our work is about more than real estate – it’s about creating opportunities and supporting the people who call these communities home,” Mr Meadmore said.
“Reaching the $1 million milestone is a testament to the power of purpose-driven business.”
BHC Chief Executive Officer Rebecca Oelkers said the partnership with Elevate Residential is a powerful example of how innovative business models can drive social change.
“While BHC provides safe, secure housing for Queenslanders facing housing insecurity, Elevate provides the means for them to thrive.
“We know people need more than just a roof over their heads – they may need support to access employment or training, financial assistance to continue with their studies, and help with physical and mental health, as well as opportunities for social inclusion. And this is where Elevate comes in,” Ms Oelkers remarked.
“This milestone reflects the real impact of our shared commitment to empowering Queenslanders through secure, affordable housing.”
Mr Meadmore added that reaching $1 million in contributions to BHC is more than a financial milestone.
“It’s a powerful reflection of what’s possible when real estate is driven by purpose. Every dollar represents a step toward dignity, opportunity, and hope for Queenslanders doing it tough.
“I’m incredibly proud to be part of a team that proves property can be a force for good.”
The agency has been recognised as a finalist for the past three years in the REIQ Awards for Excellence for their Contribution to the Community.
